Angel Silva is the Managing Editor at the Valley Star, working with student writers and photographers to write campus-relevant stories, shoot photos, edit copy and publish 1-2 issues monthly. Prior to joining the Star, Angel worked in nonprofits and city government, primarily managing communications and organizational outreach. Angel holds a BA in Journalism from Cal State Northridge, and is at LAVC pursuing a photography certificate. He is working on developing a portfolio to pursue a MFA, and hopes to teach writing and photography at the college level down the road.
